BROKEN TREE - RAINTOWN, INDIANA 2003
This was by far the wankiest tree that I had ever laid eyes on. I set out on a cold winter Indiana morning looking for bare trees to shoot. This tree was on a secondary road that cut through a corn field. The only vantage point was in a drainage ditch just below the tree. The tree was struck by lightning shortly after I shot this image. All that remains now is a stump about 12 inches tall. I shot this image on an 11x14 view camera using Bergger sheet film.
